Why have I entitled my website “Art, Ideas, and AI”?

I will start with Ideas. My life narrative has been shaped by my desire to understand - everything. During my

childhood it was the Bible, God, and His True Church. In my adolescence my narrative was focused on my

social identity and how I fit in my milieu – those challenging teenage years. During my young adulthood it

was driven by my religious mindset of living and inspiring others “in the Truth”. It was during my late twenties

and early thirties that I struggled to understand – myself, others, my purpose in life – a deeply experienced

existential crisis. Since those late thirties and early forties I restructured my life and built meaning into my life

through gaining knowledge centered on what is now called “The Cognitive Sciences”*. I would like to label this

last decade or so of my life as one of seeking the One and Oneness*. More to come on this. These five

tentative categorizations of my life’s narrative, upon twenty years or so of reflection, can best be labeled

“Ideas”.* Thus the first purpose of this website is to direct the reader/viewer to the knowledge that will be

needed – What one needs to know and what one does not need to know.

It was during my graduate education I general, and art therapy courses, that I came to understood that my

lifetime of creating art was the intuitive means of making sense of who I was as and how I was expected to act

in the world. I did not understand the full impact of the role that aesthetics played in the mental model of

reality that I was creating. Placing Art before Ideas is to communicate that Art (aesthetics) was the context,

the what and where of my cognitive endeavors. I will share with you my experience, hope, and strength that

creative thinking is a primary pathway for understanding your own thinking – thinking about your thinking.*

The artwork shared and discussed on this website can be thought of as doors that open to the human

complexities of existence. Eventually, I came to understand that my artwork provided the most important

why. A second purpose of this website is to share and inspire others to embrace and develop their personal

aesthetics capabilities – and the how. Start creating.

AI was not included in my website title to advertise, promote, or sell that I am now embrace the new frontier

of AI-ism. I was engaged in and with AI from the 1980s* - over thirty years of experience. It important that the

reader/viewer understand my position on the world transformation to an AI shaped culture. First, this

transformation is real and will impact most people on the planet and cannot be stopped any more than

industrialization could be stopped, or empire building could be stopped. This force will now influence how we

as individuals create our own understanding of self, others, spirituality, and our environment. We have a

choice to engage and influence or sit on the sideline and be deceived and manipulated. There are over 64

unique social personalities and each of you will have the choice of the why, what, where, and why of your role

in this global transformation. The third purpose of this website is to suggest ways you can reframe your life

goals with suggested roadmaps of AI engagement. I am looking for a lot of help with fulfilling this purpose*.

Over my lifetime, the feedback I have most received from friends, family, and acquaintances – “Frank – you

think too much.” Others, viewing my large body of artwork are also probably thinking – “Frank – you paint too

much”. Now, I hear a few friends express their alarm – you are spending too much on ChatBots.
